Njord is a sustainable and aesthetically pleasing alternative to the shell jacket as an all-weather jacket. The jacket is made from natural fibers designed for the urban environment. It is composed of a hood and a jacket, utilizing the properties of various natural materials to protect against weather and wind. None of the seams are placed in areas exposed to rain and wind. The hood is constructed from two whole pieces and folded together to avoid seams where water could seep through. Its purpose is to retain warmth and shield the face from rain. Its shape is distinctive and gives Njord its unique character.
The jacket is wide to allow for good ventilation, while also having tightening functions at the sleeves and hips to seal it off when needed. Additionally, it has two pockets with integrated flaps. The jacket is primarily constructed from rectangles to reduce material waste during production, inspired by the traditional workwear busserull.
