Exploring how to strengthen collaboration and communication across sectors in the community of practice Kraftsamling for vårt grønne Trondheim.
Local green initiatives can help face the challenges of urbanisation and climate change. There are several green initiatives in Trondheim, but many of these risk being short-lived. NTNU and Trondheim municipality established a community of practice, Kraftsamling for vårt grønne Trondheim, to foster connections and promote long-term collaboration.
This thesis examines how the community of practice can sustain and grow, thus supporting smaller initiatives by strengthening the connections between green initiatives across different sectors of society.
I gathered insight mainly through qualitative semi-structured interviews and analysis methods. Key challenges were: a lack of resources and a need for coordination and communication.
The final solution is divided into three parts to address the multiple challenges: A platform for coordination, a Facebook group for communication, and a long-term strategy to help maintain the network, even with limited resources.
