In recent years, Trondheim has developed a vibrant comedy ecosystem characterized by frequent open mic nights, new improv groups, and increasing attendance at stand-up events—especially following the pandemic. Despite this growth, the city lacks a unifying platform that showcases the full range of comedy genres and coordinates the efforts of performers and organizers.
This project therefore explores how a systematic, participant-driven design process can transform a fragmented comedy scene into a cohesive festival experience that creates value for audiences, performers, and organizers.
