Knekt is a work lamp made of aluminum, designed to illuminate your workspace in a lounge chair - a sturdy and space-efficient helper that balances simplicity with function. Its design follows a constructivist approach, emphasizing form, function, and production - an open structure that highlights the strength and lightness of aluminum.

Weighing only 1 kg, it is highly material-efficient and optimized to be cut from a single standard aluminum sheet. The lampshade is hand-bent from the cutting pattern, resulting in a precise and expressive form - advanced in appearance, but built from honest construction.

The user assembles the lamp without tools by fastening the three knurled knobs to their corresponding locking screws. Its compact build makes it easy to ship flat-packed. The surface is anodized to protect the finish and emphasize the material’s technical character. As a fully recyclable material with a long lifespan - and with Norway’s rich aluminum resources - it represents a responsible, local, and contemporary choice with strong potential for sustainable production.

The lamp also uses standard components, including a replaceable E14 socket where both cord and socket can be easily swapped. Like a loyal squire, Knekt stands firmly in the room - always ready to assist - a figure with a clear, functional, and honest presence.
